Hi i wonder if any one can offer me any advice on my current situation.
I went out on Friday nite with friends and at 11pm i got the most horrendous headache.
It was still there yesterday and then last nite i started to get extremely confused and was talkin to ppl tht were not there. Also i was walkin up and down the stairs and yes i was awake and not sleep walking.
U have no high temperature but u do keep sweating quite badly. And hot flushes.
My headache is still very bad and i also started with achy arms and legs and painfull back ache.
Any advice would be appreciated.
If it helps i have cold sores wich are  new occurence and Havent suffered them before.
Thank u xxxx

My advice to you would be to either see your GP or ring your Neurologist or even Neurosurgeons Secretary to get an  appointment. I wouldn't like to speculate on what is happening especially as I'm not a medical professional. You could also contact The Brain and Spine Foundation.

The Brain and Spine Helpline is a free and confidential service, open from Monday – Thursday from 9am-2pm and on Fridays from 9am-1pm.
If you have any questions about IIH, or any other neurological topic, call the Brain and Spine Helpline on 0808 808 1000 or email [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

angelisse; if this had happened to me I would know that I had been exposed to something that triggered my ICP to increase.  you need to deal with the increase in ICP, especially if it does not come down on its own.  but I have chemical sensitivity and this would happen to me if I went out anywhere.  I've determined that the chemical exposure triggers the increase in ICP as it is all the same symptoms.  if it were me, it could have been perfume, cigarette smoke, disinfectants, vehicle exhaust, or something I ate.  many people on this board react to alcohol also.  try to identify what it might have been so you can avoid that trigger again.  it could also have been any type of valsalva trigger like laughing a lot, or crying.  maybe even dancing, if exercise gets you.
I hope you feel better soon.

There are a lot of things that can make symptoms worse, but the way you're writing about your symptoms this doesn't seem like a typical IIH episode for you. I would definitely follow up with one of your physicians asap. It could be an environmental trigger, but also could be reaction to meds or another condition creeping up on you..better to be safe than sorry!

Take care, and do keep us posted!
